Reflections on OpenAI

A fascinating organization, in an interesting time.

Hello friends,

It's been a while since I last posted here. A big part of that comes from going down the rabbit-hole on a number of side projects. Since I don’t want to abuse your inboxes, I figure I’d get back to posting when I have something legitimate to share.

Over the last year, I’ve been working at OpenAI. I left just a few weeks ago, and wanted to put together some reflections while they are still fresh.

There’s a lot of smoke around OpenAI, but not a lot of first-hand accounts of what it’s like to work there, so I figured you might find them interesting too.
